The autoupdate works only at the web version of PowerBI (https://app.powerbi.com).
1. Publish your first report from PowerBI Desktop or download it's web-version from the template file.
2. Go to your workspace, find the dataset you need, click the "..." icon near it and then click "Settings".
3. Expand "Scheduled refresh" menu, set "Keep your data up to date" enabled and configure frequency, time zone, time, who will recieve the error reports, then cleck "Apply". If those changes will not apply make sure that you configured morning/evenung time for every step and that emails provided for the error reports have your companie's domain.
